Pics or it didn’t happen. A web and text-based party game that turns any gathering into a shared mission, with no app download required.

The Challenge
Hosts put real effort into planning events, but keeping guests engaged once the party starts is hard to control. Most party games require setup, hardware, or an app, which adds friction for both hosts and guests. We set out to design something that gets people mingling with zero barrier to entry.

Approach

• Conducted user interviews with event hosts using a 12-question guide covering theme, prep, spatial setup, activities, friction points, and hosting motivation.

• Synthesized research into a concept built around the one device every guest already has: their phone.

• Designed a landing page to collect early interest and validate demand ahead of a paid ad test through Meta Ads Manager.
